DAL PALAK || DAL RECIPES BY AYESHA'S WORLD


  • PREPARATION TIME: 05 Mins
  • COOKING TIME: 20-25 Mins
  • SERVING: 5-6
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Spinach Leaves - 10-12 (Chopped)
  2. Masoor Dal - 250 gms
  3. Tomato - 2 Big (Cubes)
  4. Onion -1/2 Small (Cubes)
  5. Tamarind - 5 gms
  6. Green Chilli - 10-12
  7. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt - To Taste
  9. Green Coriander
  10. Oil - 1 Spoon
FOR TEMPERING: 
  1. Curry Leaves - 1 Sprig
  2. Mustard & Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  3. Onion - 1 Small (Sliced)
  4. Oil - 1 Spoon
METHOD:
  1. Heat a cooking pot. Add Masoor dal & water (Water should be more than masoor dal).
  2. Add Onion, Tomato, Green chilli, Green Coriander, Turmeric Powder, Salt, Cover & Cook.
  3. Add Tamarind, Spinach, Green Coriander, Salt, Oil 1 spoon & mix.
  4. Add a glass of water, cover & cook for about 15-20 mins on low flame.
  5. Heat Oil 1 Spoon & add the tempering & saute until the onion turns golden brown.
  6. Add Dal, cover & cook for about 5 Mins.
  7. Serve hot with Plain Rice, Roti, Pav, etc.
