TUR KI KHATTI DAL || DAL RECIPES BY AYESHA'S WORLD

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Tur dal - 250 gms
  2. Green chillies - 10-12
  3. Tomatoes - 2 Big (Cut into cubes)
  4. Onion - 1 Small (Cut into cubes)
  5. Tamarind - 10 gms
  6. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
FOR TEMPERING:
  1. Garlic - 5-6 (Crushed)
  2. Cumin & Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  3. fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
  4. Curry leaves - few
  5. Dry red chilli - 2
  6. Ghee - 1 Spoon
METHOD:
  1. Take a cooker. Add 2 glass of water, all ingredients except for tempering, fenugreek seeds 1 pinch, curry leaves 3-4, put the lid & cook till 2-3 whistles.
  2. Add water as required in boiled dal & mix well.
  3. Heat Ghee in a cooking pot. Add the tempering & saute.
  4. Add dal & cover, cook till it boils. Turn off the flame & serve it after 5-10 mins.
  5. Serve hot with plain rice & with some sabzi or fried chicken or chicken masala.
