GAJAR AUR DUDHI KA HALWA || CARROT & BOTTLE GOURD HALWA RECIPE


  • PREPARATION TIME: 15 Mins
  • COOKING TIME: 20-25 Mins
  • SERVINGS: 5-6
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Carrot - 1 Kg (Grated)
  2. Bottle gourd - 1 Kg (Grated)
  3. Sugar - 300 gms
  4. Fresh Cream - 1 Cup
  5. Milk - 1/2 Cup
  6. Kewra essence - few drops
  7. Orange food color - 1 Pinch
  8. Dry fruits - 1 Cup (Chopped)
  9. Green cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  10. Cinnamon Stick - 1/3
  11. Green Cardamom - 2
  12. Cloves - 3
  13. Ghee - 1/2 Spoon
METHOD:
  1. Wash & peel carrot & bottle gourd & grate them. Mix both well.
  2. Add milk & fresh cream & mix. Put it in a cooker & boil for 3-4 mins.
  3. Heat Ghee in a cooking pot. Add green cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves, dry fruits & saute.
  4. Add cardamom powder & saute.
  5. Add boiled bottle gourd & carrot & saute.
  6. After 2-3 mins add sugar & stir well.
  7. Add orange food color & mix well. Cover & cook on low flame. Stir occasionally.
  8. Stir for once. Cover & cook for another 5-10 mins.
  9. Add kewda essence & mix. Turn off the flame.
  10. Serve after a few mins.
