Jeera Rice

JEERA RICE || RICE RECIPE BY AYESHA'S WORLD                                      
                                                 

  • PREPARATION TIME: 10-15 Mins
  • COOKING TIME: - 30 Mins
  • SERVINGS: 8

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Basmati /Colum Rice - 1 kg ( Washed and let to drain for 1/2 hour)
  2. Vegetable Oil - 2 Spoon
  3. Vanaspati Ghee / Pure Ghee - 2 tbsp 
  4. Onion sliced - 2 Big
  5. Green Chilli - 2 (Slited)
  6. Cinnamon Sticks, Cloves - 2
  7. Green Cardamom, Bay Leaves - 2
  8. Cumin, Caraway Seeds - 1 tbsp
  9. Peppercorns - 1/2 tbsp
  10. Water - 2 ltr         
  11. Salt - to taste
  •   Method:
  1. Heat a pan or karahi add oil and vanaspati ghee in it. Add Cumin seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon Stick, Bay leaf, Green Cardamom, Caraway Seeds Saute it.
  2. Add sliced onion fry till golden brown.
  3. Drain rice and add it, stir and fry for about 3 minutes. 
  4. Add water, peppercorns and salt mix well.
  5. Cook on high flame until the water gets absorbed.
  6. Garnish with green coriander and serve hot.
  •  Kuch Batein, Kuch Seekh, Kuch Tips:
  • Tips:- 
 1 -    Add 1 lemon in boiling rice.
 2 -   Cook on a low flame for about 10-15 minutes.

          This is a very tasty Jeera Rice serve with Chicken, Mutton Gravy, Lahsooni dal, Aloo Ande ka salan, Aloo Gosht ka Salan,
Dal Gosht, and Moong-Masoor ki Dal.
