CHICKEN PULAV(ANDHRA STYLE) || PULAO RECIPES BY AYESHA'S WORLD


  • PREPARATION TIME: 15 mins
  • COOKING TIME: 30 - 40 Mins
  • SERVINGS: 5-6
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Basmati Rice - 1 kg
  2. Chicken - 1 kg
  3. Onion - 4 big (sliced)
  4. Tomato - 4 big (sliced)
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  6. Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
  7. Kashmiri lal mirch powder - 1 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  9. Garam masala powder -1 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp 
  11. Curd - 1 cup / 200 gms
  12. Bay leaf - 2
  13. Green chilli - 3
  14. Lemon - 1
  15. Salt - to taste
  16. Ghee - 1/2 Cup
  17. Oil - 200 gms
METHOD:
  1. Heat Oil & Ghee in a cooking pot. Add Bay leaf, Green chilli, Onions & saute.
  2. Add all masalas, tomato with a little water. Cover & simmer.
  3. Add Chicken after 2-3 mins. Cover & simmer on low flame.
  4. Add chopped green coriander. Cover & simmer for about 5-6 mins.
  5. Turn the flame low. Remove Chicken pieces & keep aside.
  6. Add water 1 1/2 ltr, mint leaves. Cover & simmer.
  7. Add soaked rice. Cover & simmer.
  8. Add Chicken, lemon, cover & simmer.
  9. Cover the lid with a cloth & cook on low flame.
  10. Serve hot with Dahi Kachumbar.
