- Rice - 1 kg
- Moong Dal - 1 Cup
- Tomato - 2 Medium (Sliced)
- Onion - 1 Big (Sliced)
- Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
- Green chilli - 2 (Slited)
- Bay leaf - 2
- Mint leaves - 1/2 Cup
- Green coriander - 1/4 Cup
- Salt - To taste
- Ghee - 1/2
- Oil - 1 Spoon
- Soak Rice in water for 20-25 mins.
- Heat a pan. Put Moong dal & dry roast.
- Heat Oil & Ghee in a cooking pot. Add bay leaf & onion.
- Add Ginger Garlic paste. Add tomatoes, cover & saute.
- Add Green chilli, salt to taste, turmeric powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves.
- After 2-3 mins add moong dal & rice mix well.
- Add Garam masala powder & mix well.
- Add water 1 ltr & mix. Cover & stir occasionally.
- Mix well. Cover the lid with cloth & cook on low flame for about 5 mins.
- Serve hot with Khopre Ka Khatta.
