HYDERABADI KHICHDI || RICE RECIPES BY AYESHA'S WORLD

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Rice - 1 kg
  2. Moong Dal - 1 Cup
  3. Tomato - 2 Medium (Sliced)
  4. Onion - 1 Big (Sliced)
  5. Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  7. Garam  masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. Green chilli - 2 (Slited)
  9. Bay leaf - 2
  10. Mint leaves - 1/2 Cup
  11. Green coriander - 1/4 Cup
  12. Salt - To taste
  13. Ghee - 1/2
  14. Oil - 1 Spoon
METHOD:
  1. Soak Rice in water for 20-25 mins.
  2. Heat a pan. Put Moong dal & dry roast.
  3. Heat Oil & Ghee in a cooking pot. Add bay leaf & onion.
  4. Add Ginger Garlic paste. Add tomatoes, cover & saute.
  5. Add Green chilli, salt to taste, turmeric powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves.
  6. After 2-3 mins add moong dal & rice mix well.
  7. Add Garam masala powder & mix well.
  8. Add water 1 ltr & mix. Cover & stir occasionally.
  9. Mix well. Cover the lid with cloth & cook on low flame for about 5 mins.
  10. Serve hot with Khopre Ka Khatta.
