TOMATO MASALA RASAM || RASAM RECIPES BY AYESHA'S WORLD

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Tomatoes - 4 Big (Cut into cubes)
  2. Onion - 1 Big (Cut into Cubes)
  3. Garlic cloves - 10-12
  4. Tamarind - 10-15 gms
  5. Red chili powder - 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - less than 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  8. Dry coconut powder - 1 tbsp
  9. Salt - to taste
FOR TEMPERING:
  1. Cumin & mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  2. Curry leaves - few
  3. Dry whole red chillies - 1
  4. Green coriander - few
  5. Oil - 1 Spoon
METHOD:
  1. Take a mixer jar. Add tomatoes, onion, garlic cloves & grind into a paste.
  2. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry coconut powder, salt to taste & grind into a paste.
  3. Heat oil in a cooking pot. Add the tempering & saute.
  4. Add the paste with little water, saute & cover & cook.
  5. Add water 1/2 glass & cover.
  6. Add tamarind water & 1 1/2 glass of water.
  7. Add green coriander, salt to taste & mix well. Cover & cook till it comes to a boil.
  8. Serve hot with plain rice & fried chicken or chicken masala etc..
