HOW TO MAKE SOFT & TASTY IDLI

  • PREPARATION TIME: 10 Mins
  • COOKING TIME: 10-15 Mins
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Dosa Rice - 1/2 Kg
  2. Cooked Rice - 250 gms
  3. Urad Dal - 1 Cup
  4. Fenugreek Seeds - 1 tsp
  5. Soda Bicarb - 1/4 tsp
  6. Salt - to taste
METHOD: 
  1. Take a bowl. Add all ingredients & soak in water. Cover & keep aside for 4-5 hrs.
  2. Take a mixer jar. Add all soaked ingredients & grind in a fine batter.
  3. Cover the lid with a cotton cloth  & keep aside for 6-7 hrs at a warm place
  4. Transfer to a bowl.
  5. Add salt & soda - bicarb & mix well with little water.
  6. Take an Idli maker. Add water & keep for boiling.
  7. Grease idli plates with oil. Put equal parts of batter on the plate.
  8. Cover & cook for 10-15 mins.
  9. Take out on a plate. Serve hot with Sambhar & Coconut chutney.
