BAGHARA KHANA || MUSLIM STYLE KHUSHKHA || SOUTH INDIAN RECIPES

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Basmati Rice - 1 kg
  2. Onion - 1 Big (Sliced)
  3. Tomato - 2 Big (Sliced0
  4. Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  5. Red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
  6. Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  7. Lemon - 1
  8. Green chilli - 2
  9. Mint leaves - 1 Cup
  10. Curd - 1/2 Cup
  11. Bay leaf - 2
  12. Cloves - 3
  13. Green cardamom - 2
  14. Cinnamon stick -1
  15. Salt - To taste
  16. Ghee - 1 Spoon
  17. Oil - 1 Spoon
METHOD:
  1. Heat oil & ghee in a vessel. Add spices & saute.
  2. Add onion & saute.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste & saute.
  4. Add tomato & saute. Add salt to taste & saute.
  5. Add red chilli powder & saute.
  6. Add curd & saute. Add little water & saute.
  7. Add green chilli & saute.
  8. Add mint leaves & saute.
  9. Add garam masala powder & saute. Add salt to taste.
  10. Add water 1.5 ltr & mix well. Cover & cook until the water boils.
  11. Add soaked rice & mix.
  12. Add mint leaves, cover & cook.
  13. Add lemon juice & mix well. Cover & cook on low flame for 10-15 mins.
  14. Serve hot with tomato & mint chutney, ambadai ki chutney, etc.
