WINTER SPECIAL NIMBU KA ACHAAR || LEMON PICKLE RECIPE || PICKLE RECIPES

  • PREPARATION TIME: 10 Mins
  • COOKING TIME: 25-30 Mins
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Lemon - 15
  2. Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  3. Crushed chilli powder - 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  5. Mustard - 2 tsp
  6. Nigella seeds - 2 tsp
  7. Green chilli - 10-12
  8. Salt - to taste
FOR TEMPERING:
  1. Garlic - 6-7
  2. Asafoetida - 1 tsp
  3. Cumin & mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  4. Curry leaves - few
  5. Oil - 1 Cup
METHOD:
  1. Heat a pan. Put Mustard & nigella seeds & dry roast for 3-4 mins & grind in a fine powder.
  2. Boil lemon for 10-12 mins or until lemon tenders. Cut the lemon into small pieces.
  3. Add red chilli powder, crushed red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, grounded mustard & nigella paste.
  4. Add green chilli & mix well.
  5. Transfer in a container & store it in a container for 4-5 days to rest.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.
  7. Add asafoetida, garlic cloves & saute.
  8. Add cumin seeds & saute.
  9. Add curry leaves & saute.
  10. Add tempering on lemon & put the lid.
  11. After 5 mins mix & keep aside for another 7-8 days in a container.
