INGREDIENTS:
- Basmati Rice - 1 kg (soaked)
- Green peas - 1 Cup
- Cloves -3
- Green cardamom - 2
- Star Anise - 2
- Bay Leaf - 2
- Cinnamon stick - 2
- Mace - 1
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Shah jeera - 1 tsp
- Black pepper - 5-6
- Lemon - 1/2
- Green chilli - 4-5
- Green coriander - few
- Almonds - few
- Pistachio - few
- Salt - to taste
- Ghee - 1 Spoon
- Oil - 1/2 Spoon
METHOD:
- Heat Oil & Ghee in a patila.
- Add all spices & saute.
- Add dry fruits & saute.
- Add green peas & saute.
- Add green chilli & saute.
- Add water 1.5ltr & saute.
- Add salt to taste. Put the lid & cook until water boils.
- Add green coriander & mix.
- Add rice & mix.
- Add lemon & mix. Cover & cook on low flame.
- Cover & cook for another 5 mins.
