DAL KE HALWE KI PURIYAN || CHANA DAL PURI || KHEER PURI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
FOR DAL HALWA:
  1. Chana dal - 1/2 kg
  2. Sugar - 300-350 gms
  3. Green cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  4. Chopped dry fruit - as required
  5. Saffron - 1 pinch
  6. Ghee - 1 tbsp
FOR DOUGH:
  1. All-purpose flour - 1/2 kg
  2. Oil - For Frying
METHOD:
  1. Take a cooker add dal & wash it. Add 2 glass of water, close cooker & bring on full pressure on high flame & boil dal.
  2. Mash dal with the back of the ladle.
  3. Transfer dal to the cooking pot.
  4. Add sugar, mix & cook on low flame. Mix continuously until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Add green cardamom powder & mix.
  6. Add dry fruits, saffron & mix well.
  7. Add ghee & mix well.
  8. Take all-purpose flour, mix with water & prepare a dough. Cover dough for 5 mins & keep aside.
  9. Knead the dough for once, cut dough into small equal size.
  10. Give shape to dough pieces.
  11. Dust with wheat flour on rolling pan, roll the dough.
  12. Place some amount of Puran in the center. Roll over the other side of the puri & seal corners with fingers.
  13. You can also give a design by pressing with a fork on the corners of the puri.
  14. Cover with a cloth & keep aside. Take one at the time of frying.
  15. Heat oil in a pot.
  16. Put puri one by one & fry until golden brown.
  17. Serve hot with Kheer.
