DAL KE HALWE KI PURIYAN || CHANA DAL PURI || KHEER PURI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
FOR DAL HALWA:
- Chana dal - 1/2 kg
- Sugar - 300-350 gms
- Green cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
- Chopped dry fruit - as required
- Saffron - 1 pinch
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
FOR DOUGH:
- All-purpose flour - 1/2 kg
- Oil - For Frying
- Take a cooker add dal & wash it. Add 2 glass of water, close cooker & bring on full pressure on high flame & boil dal.
- Mash dal with the back of the ladle.
- Transfer dal to the cooking pot.
- Add sugar, mix & cook on low flame. Mix continuously until the sugar dissolves.
- Add green cardamom powder & mix.
- Add dry fruits, saffron & mix well.
- Add ghee & mix well.
- Take all-purpose flour, mix with water & prepare a dough. Cover dough for 5 mins & keep aside.
- Knead the dough for once, cut dough into small equal size.
- Give shape to dough pieces.
- Dust with wheat flour on rolling pan, roll the dough.
- Place some amount of Puran in the center. Roll over the other side of the puri & seal corners with fingers.
- You can also give a design by pressing with a fork on the corners of the puri.
- Cover with a cloth & keep aside. Take one at the time of frying.
- Heat oil in a pot.
- Put puri one by one & fry until golden brown.
- Serve hot with Kheer.
