HOW TO MAKE POHA WITH TIP || MAHARASHTRIAN RECIPE || FLATTENED RICE / FLAKE RICE RECIPE BY AYESHA'S WORLD


  • PREPARATION TIME: 10 Mins
  • COOKING TIME: 15-20 Mins
  • SERVINGS: 3-4
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Flaked Rice - 4 Cups
  2. Potato - 1 Small (Cut into small cubes)
  3. Onion - 1 Big (Finely chopped)
  4. Peanuts - 1 Cup (Deskin & dry roast)
  5. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  6. Green chilli - 4-5 (Chopped & Slited)
  7. Green Coriander - Few
  8. Curry leaves - Few
  9. Cumin & Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  10. Milk - 2-3 tbsp
  11. Salt - to taste
  12. Oil - 2-3 tbsp
METHOD:
  1. Wash rice flakes with 2-3 water. Strain rice flakes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin & mustard seeds & saute.
  3. Add onion & saute.
  4. Add curry leaves & saute.
  5. Add green chilli & saute.
  6. Add potato, turmeric powder & saute, cover & cook on low flame.
  7. After 5 mins, add salt to taste & peanuts.
  8. Add flake rice & mix well.
  9. Add milk & mix well.
  10. Add green coriander & mix well. Cover & cook on low flame for another 5-6 mins.
  11. Serve hot with lemon slices, garnish with green coriander.
