METHOD:
HOW TO MAKE COCONUT & PEANUT CHUTNEY || CHUTNEY FOR IDLI, MEDU VADA, DOSA BY AYESHA'S WORLD
- PREPARATION TIME: 15 Mins
- COOKING TIME: 15 Mins
- SERVINGS: 3-4
- Dry Coconut - 1/3 piece (Thinly Sliced)
- Peanuts - 1/4 Cup
- Roasted Chana Dal - 1/4 Cup
- Garlic Cloves - 14-15
- Green Chilli - 6-7
- Salt - To Taste
- Oil - 1 tbsp
FOR TEMPERING:
- Curry Leaves - 1 Sprig
- Whole Dry Red Chilli - 2
- Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
- Cumin & Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
- Urad & Chana Dal - 1 tsp
- Heat oil in a pan. Add dry coconut, peanuts, & roasted chana dal & saute on high flame.
- Add garlic cloves & green chilli & saute. Saute for 2 mins & let it cool at room temperature.
- Take a mixer jar, add all ingredients & grind it.
- Add water as required for the chutney & grind it finely.
- Heat oil as required for tempering. Add tempering ingredients & saute.
- Let the tempering cool down at room temperature. Put it on chutney.
- Serve with idli, dosa, medu vada etc.
