ZARDA SPECIAL - SHAB-E-BARAAT KI KHAAS RECIPE || SIMPLE ZARDA RECIPE BY AYESHA'S WORLD

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Basmati Rice - 1 Gass (Soak Rice in water for 10 mins)
  2. Sugar - 1 1/2 Glass
  3. Chopped Dry Fruits - 1 tsp (Cashews, Almonds, Pistachios)
  4. Chironji - 1 tsp
  5. Raisins - 1 tsp
  6. Almonds - 5-6 (Soaked overnight & cut into 2 equal halfs)
  7. Dry Coconut - 1/2 Cup (Sliced)
  8. Dry Dates - Few (Soaked overnight & sliced)
  9. Green Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
  10. Dry Spices: Cinnamon Stick - 1, Green Cardamom - 1, Cloves - 2
  11. Zarda Colour - 1 tsp
  12. Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
METHOD:
  1. Boil water in a vessel. Add soaked rice in it. When the rice starts boiling, add lemon juice & mix well.
  2. Heat a vessel. Add Ghee. Add all ingredients (10,9,7,8,4,5,3) one by one & saute. Add 1/2 glass of water, add zarda color & saute on high flame.
  3. Add sugar & saute.
  4. Add cooked rice, cover & cook.
  5. Add rose essence & mix. Cover the lid with a cotton cloth & cover on low flame for 5-6 mins.
  6. Serve hot. Garnish with some dry fruits.
