ZARDA SPECIAL - SHAB-E-BARAAT KI KHAAS RECIPE || SIMPLE ZARDA RECIPE BY AYESHA'S WORLD
- PREPARATION TIME: 15 Mins
- COOKING TIME: 25-30 Mins
- SERVINGS: 3-4
- Basmati Rice - 1 Gass (Soak Rice in water for 10 mins)
- Sugar - 1 1/2 Glass
- Chopped Dry Fruits - 1 tsp (Cashews, Almonds, Pistachios)
- Chironji - 1 tsp
- Raisins - 1 tsp
- Almonds - 5-6 (Soaked overnight & cut into 2 equal halfs)
- Dry Coconut - 1/2 Cup (Sliced)
- Dry Dates - Few (Soaked overnight & sliced)
- Green Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
- Dry Spices: Cinnamon Stick - 1, Green Cardamom - 1, Cloves - 2
- Zarda Colour - 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
- Boil water in a vessel. Add soaked rice in it. When the rice starts boiling, add lemon juice & mix well.
- Heat a vessel. Add Ghee. Add all ingredients (10,9,7,8,4,5,3) one by one & saute. Add 1/2 glass of water, add zarda color & saute on high flame.
- Add sugar & saute.
- Add cooked rice, cover & cook.
- Add rose essence & mix. Cover the lid with a cotton cloth & cover on low flame for 5-6 mins.
- Serve hot. Garnish with some dry fruits.
