EID SPECIAL STEP BY STEP SHEER KHURMA RECIPE WITH TIPS BY AYESHA'S WORLD

  • PREPARATION TIME: 15 Mins
  • COOKING TIME: 20-25 Mins
  • SERVINGS: 5-6
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Milk - 1 litre
  2. Sugar - 1 1/2 Cup or as required
  3. Seviyan - 1/2 Cup
  4. Makhane - 10-15 or Few
  5. Dry Dates - 2 (Soaked in water for overnight & sliced)
  6. Dry Fruits - 1/2 Cup (Chopped) (Almond, Cashews, Pistachios, Chironji)
  7. Desiccated Powder - 1 Small Piece
  8. Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. Dry Spices: Cinnamon Stick - 1, Green Cardamom - 2, Cloves - 3
  10. Ghee - 1/2 Spoon
METHOD:
  1. Boil milk by adding a glass of water.
  2. Heat water in a vessel & sterilize the vessel & spoon.
  3. Add ghee, dry spices & saute.
  4. Add dry fruits & saute.
  5. Add makhane & saute.
  6. Add desiccated coconut powder & saute. Saute all this on low flame. Save some for garnishing.
  7. Add cardamom powder & saute.
  8. Add seviyan & saute. After 2-3 mins, add 1/2 glass of water & saute & cook till the water boils.
  9. Add milk & mix well. Stir continuously & simmer.
  10. When the milk starts boiling, add sugar & mix well.
  11. If you want, you can add Rose Essence.
  12. After 3-4 mins, turn off the flame. Put the lid half covered.
  13. Serve hot.
