METHOD:
PYAZ AUR TAMATAR KI CHUTNEY || DOSA, IDLI KE SAATH KHAYE JANE WALI CHUTNEY || PANIYARAM RECIPE BY AYESHA'S WORLD
- PREPARATION TIME: 20 Mins
- COOKING TIME: 20-25 Mins
- SERVINGS: 3-4
- Tomatoes - 3 (Chopped)
- Chana Dal - 1/2 tsp
- Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
- Onion - 2 (Chopped)
- Tamarind - 5 gms
- Kashmiri Lal Mirch - 4
- Whole Dry Red Chillies - 8-10
- Garlic Cloves - 7-8
- Fenugreek Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
FOR TEMPERING:
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
- Mustard Seed s- 1 tsp
- Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves - Few
- Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic cloves & saute.
- Add chana dal, coriander seeds & saute.
- Add urad dal, fenugreek seeds & saute.
- Add whole dry red chilli & kashmiri lal mirch & saute.
- After 3-4 mins of sauteing, take it out into another plate.
- Add onion, tomato & saute.
- Add tamarind & saute. Saute it for another 5 mins. Turn off the flame & let it cool down at room temperature.
- Take a mixer jar, add all the sauteed ingredients & grind into a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add all the tempering ingredients & saute.
- Put the tempering into the chutney & mix well.
- Put the paste into a pan & cook for 3-4 mins.
