TEMPLE STYLE TAMARIND RICE | YUMMY TAMARIND RICE | PULIYODHARAI | RICE RECIPES BY AYESHA'S WORLD

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Rice - 2 cups (Let it cool down at room temperature)
  2. Tamarind - Handful (Soak it in water & take out the pulp)
  3. Chana Dal - 1 1/2 tsp
  4. Urad Dal - 1 tsp
  5. Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Whole Dry Red Chillies - 3
  7. Fenugreek Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  8. Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
  10. Oil - 1 Spoon
  11. Turmeric Powder - Less than 1/2 tsp
  12. Peanuts - 1/2 cup or as required
  13. Chana Dal - 1 spoon
  14. Urad dal - 1 tsp
  15. Green Chillies - 4 (Slited)
  16. Whole Dry Red Chillies - 2-3
  17. Curry Leaves - Few
  18. Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  19. Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
  20. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  21. Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
  22. Oil - 1 tsp
METHOD:
  1. Heat a pan. Add all the ingredients (3-5) & dry roast them.
  2. Add all the ingredients (6-9) one by one & saute.
  3. Take a mixer jar, add all the ingredients & grind into a fine powder.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add turmeric powder & mix well.
  5. After a min, put it in the rice & mix well.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.
  7. Add peanuts & saute.
  8. Add chana dal & saute.
  9. Add urad dal & saute.
  10. Add green chillies & saute.
  11. Add all the ingredients (16-21), tamarind pulp & salt. Mix well.
  12. After 2-3 mins, turn off the flame & let it cool down at room temperature.
  13. Add the grounded masala & mix well with rice. Add the sauteed ingredients & mix well with rice.
  14. Serve hot.
